RECOMMENDATION LETTERS

If you are applying to privates schools, scholarships, and/or programs that require a counselor recommendation letter, please give at least 3 weeks advanced notice before the deadline. Please fill out the Recommendation Request form (available in the High School locker) and/or attach a resume to your requests.

Email, school loop requests to Omar Reza at rezao@sfusd.edu, or drop off paper forms to her mailbox in the main office.

Attention 8th grade families!
SEO Scholars is looking for rising 9th graders (current 8th) to join our free program! SEO Scholars helps motivated public school students get into and succeed at competitive four-year colleges. With a rigorous academic and college preparation curriculum on Saturdays, after school and over the summer, SEO Scholars participate in more than 700 additional hours of instructional time over four years of high school, and receive personalized advising throughout college. Please note that we give priority to low-income students who will be the first in their families to attend college.  
 
To be an SEO Scholar, a candidate must:
 

  • Demonstrate a high level of motivation to go to college
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Strong attendance record at school
  • Be able to commit to attending SEO Scholars out-of-school programming (one weekday 2 hour session each week, three Saturdays a month and five weeks during 9th and 10th grade summer break)
  • Be attending 9th grade at an SFUSD high school in the fall of 2018
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
